Sponsor membership - Suggestions

Maybe there are some mods out there capable. Would you be? If so, there might be a few more. Just saying. Its going to be a little difficult, as with anything dealing with "public" issues out there.

I would. I'm 100% against censorship of the "little guy". It's got to be a fair forum, or people will just get pissed off and not stay around. Just because this site has like 6000 or so members, doesnt mean more than a few 100 or so interact and post. I would asssume you'd like to increase that number whom interact and have the site flourish.

That is true, but mods will just have to delete those threads in question. Anything that is implemented is going to be hated/liked equally, just one of those things. But overall, if it helps out the site, then it must be the thing to do.
I personally don't feel that way toward Ant, but Second Skin is now under new ownership, so members don't need to worry about issues with Ant now. I for one can say that he was great to work with.

Ant was a ******* retard who would spam the dome with annoying CA shit. If by 'great to work with' you mean on time paypal payments then I agree but as far as business skills he went to the same business school as Johnathan Demuth.

Non sponsor members who do advertise will have to be warned or banned if they don't amend their actions. But, there are more that comes with sponsored membership, such as 4x larger PM box, sponsor member forum to sell items, title change, which isn't that important, and maybe even a step further, such as an "Approved Seller" seal of approval for sponsor members. Also, maybe no ads on the forum to put up with for sponsor members as an added option, etc.

How about premium member subscriptions that removes the adds and comes with features people actually give a shit about? Big PM boxes and custom user titles lost any 'wow' factor they had back in 2001 bro.

Is there an ETA for when the current setup is going to be back and working normally again?

How about you just stop spamming my email with Promotions for Ants glorious sound deadening products? We get enough of that douches spamming on the boards.

The reason for naming this a "sponsor membership", was to allow members who sell a little more features to help their sales grow, etc. Since overwhelmingly the site is car audio sales based, I figured this member demographic would appreciate this option the most. But ultimately, it's up to the members if they had rather call it something else and lean another direction away from totally an option for commercial sellers. Maybe a "premium membership" would fit that title the best. I just don't want to jump the gun on this. And since this is the summer doldrums, it's a good time to get this planned out and ready to go for the fall pickup.

Just a little extra. You say 9.95 a month, which is 119.40 a year. You should offer $100 a year flat payment up front. Some of the people might prefer the little discount and to get it all out of the way at once.

You missed my point entirely. The "little guy" is a average user just putting his opinion in a thread of what he runs for equipment, as a suggestion to an original thread poster askingn a question like "hey what's a good SQ sub with....this and that". Im saying that premium members would have the abilty to sway mods, or even you if they put up enough money - and that is censorship, and downright shady.
