Hey, dont think im stupid for asking this, but, do you guys think i would have a chance in an spl competition in the 301-600W class with a pioneer gm-x862 with a TSW304DVC(havent decided the box dimensions yet, this is just a generalized question)????

Hmm....I think you would be hard pressed to really do good with that amp anyway. You might if you send that sub a good 400 watts rms or so in about a 3-4 cu ft box tuned to your cars resonant frequency. Ive got the regular TSW-304c's and the only real set back that these subs have is a lack of x-max with it only being 11mm but I think what they lack in linear throw they kinda make up for in Surface Area.

EDIT : Hell tell ya what, burp those babies at their MAX wattage of 600 watts and I think you will do alright. Ive fed mine god knows how much from a bridged at 2 ohms Lanzar vibe 258 thats supposed to about 1000 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms before. They were really stressing with the 5-600 watts rms I was giving them but god did they wang and never even bottomed out.

what sub do you think i should couple with that amp(knowing that im not pushing that much power) for a USACI stock class spl comp.??

Hmm....let me think...What would be a sub that would have good output at that wattage. You might look at a SI Magnum D2 at http://www.stereointegrity.com but that might be more than your willing to pay for 1 12 but they are loud and have **** good sound quality. If you can put it into a rather large ported box then I think your 440w amp could get it moving adequately in the right box, tuned to your car's resonant frequency as I mentioned. I dont know if it will work or not because I know this sub is DVC but im not sure if you can get it in dual 2 ohm or if it already comes in dual 2 ohm coils. But if you were to get this sub and made the right box you could somehow make a type of tunable box to put it in so you could tune it high for SPL and then low for SQ.
