spl meter

it is consistantly giving higher scores then my term pro, as a cheap measuring device it is ok,, you will be able to tell if a change has been a good or a bad thing.

some people dont have $649 dollars to blow on a meter. Alot of people on this site might see a fairly accurate $74 meter as a good option if they cant afford a term pro.$649 is alot of money to some of us.

+1 for Jo0

agreed

life long investment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Well I would not say it's a long time investment, you never know they might suddenly use a difference reading method and this meter could be obsolete making your long time investment shet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif..remember audio control meters they got replaced by tl...

anyways $645 is a basic TL pack , from there $450 is software, $45 for a cat-5 cable and $150 for a db meter....

the chepo meter is like $70 for meter and $170 for software %50 off cost of tl or close to,

A Term-LAB Dual Sensor System $849.00 each, thats $425 for each meter, just make a copy of the software and sell the other meter with original software as a basic 1 car setup meter...lol and you save $200 over a basic spl meter...

SUCKAS.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

but not all laptops support termlad or this other meters program, so you still save money by buying the cheaper no brand name product....

just because one thing is a name brand don't make it better, most name brands are made in korea now in the same warehouse as cheap brands...

anyways don't reply back because i just made an account to post this topic here...i already forgot my password

lol good luck....if you want to tune use any meter, if you want to do a little gatering and test your buddys systems it will work also....if you now your score on this meter it might be low, same, high to a tl but most of the time is under a db diffrence....Plus the guy on ebay gives you 30 days warranty....order before a show try it out there vs there tl or test vs ur buds tl

cya

i own both meters the make it louder one is ok but its hard to get a peak reading on it with my dmm.it also reads about 2.5 db louder then my term pro but just for testing its an ok option.
that makeitlouder meter is as good as the DMM you use. I have one and it is extremely accurate to the TL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

good little budget meter

I have seen one in use.It is a good way to see if your changes give you any gains. But it only gives you a voltage reading not an SPL reading. For a little more the Epic160 has a digital SPL reading and is about as accurate as the make it loud as compared to a TL.

the Epic isnt near as accurate as the make it louder meter. My old Epic 160 would say i was doing 142db it has no reading of tenths. and then I would turn around to a TL and it was doing 144.3. And the make it louder meter was showing 144.1-2 consistently

Then you must be lucky.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
