SX vs L7

Both in enclosures built to specs (SX 3.5 / 32hz) (L7 4.5 / 32hz)

Both subs receiving 1,000 wrms.

Dont care about sq/sql/etc. I just wanna know which one will be louder to the ear. I know this is all install dependent but lets say equal installs and this is just a hypothetical question. Opinions?

If you don't care about bass then just get a blow horn.. you know...those really loud air horns they use at baseball games I would say they can do 30hz at 99.99% distortion, which is about what you specified right?

from what i've seen an SX...

kickers are just to easy to blow up - seen a lot of them "fly" away.

but for that price get a alpine type R 1522. it rocks. I just did 151.6db with a pair of 12" type r's

not sure about the new l7's, but i have a 15" sx and love it. I have used 2 12's of the older L7's and they really dont compare. (both on 1kw)

either... Type R's are probably a bit more musical if you wanna go that route

No way to tell. Pick the one you can get for cheaper, with a warranty.
