Also about the insurance - What do you mean your parents didn't tell your company you have a license? Are you not listed on their insurance policy? If not, did you not get a ticket for no insurance?

If you are on their policy, the speeding ticket may not affect their rates at all (I am an insurance agent with Allstate Insurance) because I know with my company, we do not run driving records/reports at renewal unless requested by the policyholder (which is only when the policyholder knows his/her credit is better now than when the policy was previously written), which means we would have no recollection of any tickets received. If this is the case, the only time the ticket would hurt you is if you tried to switch insurance companies, in which case the new company would pick any and all driving violations.
