On a residental road. About a few times a week or so I'll see some car or truck doing 50+ for no reason really from my living room window. There's kids that live on my road. It's 25 here.

Anyone dealt with this issue and what can be done about it?

My local news does story's like that. Ppl call the news and say to many speeders on my road and then the news does a report and then the next day police are on that road with there speed guns handing out tickets.

While that may sound like a good idea, just too many residential roads around. Besides, I'm sure it happens more than we see it.

Thought about playing James Bond and throwing some nails out there. Or hell, speed bumps.

call it in,describe vehicle, mention you are worried about children being killed.then sit back and watch justice.i GUARANTEE this will work even if it means calling it in every day for a week....hope they nail him ! good luck !

Draft some sort of petition. Get a few neighbors to sign it, then Go to the community board or local politician to complain and eventually you'll get a few speed bumps.

I assume you were joking but don't throw nails. It could cause a Deadlier situation if the driver looses control and crashes into a living room while a family is watching tv.

Yes, you could petition for speed bumps. However, I hate going over those no matter how slow I'm going. Big R has some ion their parking lot and i go over them at 5 mph. No way I'd hit those at 25 (especially not 50). However, I would not want those in my neighborhood, because they annoy me.

I know you were joking about the nails, but as stated earlier, they could cause more problems than good.

If anything, get their plates next time and call them in. That is your best option to get individual offenders.

What also helps is getting some footage/vid of the vehicles that are speeding with a picture/vid of the plates, and driver really be beneficial towards your petition when going to the City Board.Ive got cameras all around my house, and can see people going from stop sign to stop sign,as I live on a corner( Not trying to invade anyones privacy in the process)but mainly my property and fence lines(goes over just a bit on the roadways,..1000 tvl+ wide view and night vision with zoom in, and I can see the dirt on your fingernails about 50 ft+ away..pretty easily..Also helps on Home Owners Insurance. You can set up for Android,to get alerts,or view at anytime, on/off zoom,record on off, record sound on/off.Ive got alarm system also that I can control from android setup.You can start out with a small 4 ch system,or go up to ?you want.But deff get some vids of the vehicles speeding by..The city will later place speed bumps as they are the cheapest way to go, as well as a Caution:Child@play signs

A bunch of bikers do that in front of my house, was thinking of going by their house and bump outside every night. I sat in my truck in the drive way one night when then hauled azz by and I flashed my high beams at them, seemed to slow down after that.
