specs on a vfl 150.1

was wondering what the specs r on this amp @12,14,16 volts if possible being the site doesnt list. bought one and was going to run it at 16 volts @.5 but im going to have to go a differ route now @1ohm. was told it would do 4000+ 16v not sure if this is true

Yes it will

More like 18v it will make that power. At 16, around 3200 from our testing.

Its making right now 1500w for me at 1.8 ohms, dropping from 14.7v to 11.2v

If you want lots of power, you need 18v. It probably makes around 2500w at 1 ohm at 14.4v. Thats where it shines.

Also in all of our testing, it doesnt like .5 at 16v. It goes into protect, even with rolling.

im glad u told me that, i was told by several people to run it at 16v@.5. so i should just keep it at 1 ohm and i should still get plenty of power at 16 and 18v. didnt know the amp could go that high at 18v, what estimated power be at that

Yea I saw that too.

We have done lots of testing with them and got much different numbers with them then his results have shown.

But 18v is where it makes its power. Above 3000w I would say easily, more like 3500-4000

Well Sergey told me this:

The amp will make 1400-1600W at 2 ohms, depending on how much voltageyou can provide. I don't know about 0.5 ohms, but for the most part

it's a bad idea unless you're competing.

^^^ HE means if you run it at .5ohms for SPL comps it will give out over 4,000 watts at 16vlots.

I already said what it runs...

I know these amps very well, as our team has around 24 in use at any given time.

4000w at 18v, yes. Not 16v.

2 ohms I just got around 1500w dropping from 14.4-11.1

Do you know what it will do at .5ohms? on a 13.8 volt system? and can the amp be stable enought to bump music?

I wouldnt bump music at .5 on 13.8

Burps its fine, you wouldnt have to roll the volume probably.

Id guess at .5 on 13.8, around 3000w

Yea they hate going below 1 on anything above 14.4v. They dont even like it on 16v
