was wondering what the specs r on this amp @12,14,16 volts if possible being the site doesnt list. bought one and was going to run it at 16 volts @.5 but im going to have to go a differ route now @1ohm. was told it would do 4000+ 16v not sure if this is true

im glad u told me that, i was told by several people to run it at 16v@.5. so i should just keep it at 1 ohm and i should still get plenty of power at 16 and 18v. didnt know the amp could go that high at 18v, what estimated power be at that

loyd has a post somewhere on what his results were on 12v and 16v....iirc it does ~ the same power at a uberlow load on 12v as it does on a moderately low load on 16v...could be wrong though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yea I saw that too.

We have done lots of testing with them and got much different numbers with them then his results have shown.

But 18v is where it makes its power. Above 3000w I would say easily, more like 3500-4000

Well Sergey told me this:

The amp will make 1400-1600W at 2 ohms, depending on how much voltageyou can provide. I don't know about 0.5 ohms, but for the most part

it's a bad idea unless you're competing.
Dominick Iraggi told me this:

I would not recommend .5 for daily.over 4000 at 16 volts. A little less at 12,9
^^^ HE means if you run it at .5ohms for SPL comps it will give out over 4,000 watts at 16vlots.

And Bob from American Bass told me this:

You can run this amp .7ohm. The powerout putwill depend on the voltage you use.
I just got my VFL 150.1 in today, im going to run it at 2ohms then run it at .5ohms, but my multimeter will show .7ohms... so ill try the .7ohms.. but probably not for daily just to test it out and see what this amp can do.. then put it at 2ohms for daily driving.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hope this helps midwestcustoms3.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

hehe.. yes i know btnhfan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i was just quoting other users opinions.... i wanted to see what Sergey would say since he repairs and tests alot of amps... but its good to know that these amps are solid and will last a long time.

Do you know what it will do at .5ohms? on a 13.8 volt system? and can the amp be stable enought to bump music?

Yea they hate going below 1 on anything above 14.4v. They dont even like it on 16v
That's where bob said to run them, so that's where they were ran

It was great at first...5600w out of a pair...

Every burp, less and less power....until they finally went 'click'. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
