Special Sundown SD-1 v.2 Offer

Might have to try one out when my girl gets her car, im thinking of setting up a nice clean system for her, might do her well.
They do quite nicely for smaller systems, especially when depth is a concern and you don't want to run thousands of watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would like to put 4 in my car but would have to find different amp
One SAZ-1500D would do nicely for four to be frank. They would perform well on roughly 250 watts each @ 2 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I posted this over on the tundrasolutions forum, as those guys are LOVIN some SD-1 V.2's

hope you dont mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Cool, appreciate it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I ordered 2 of these yesterday. These looked like some the nicest subs I could find with a shallow mounting depth. They'll be going in .68cu.ft. sealed enclosure, undecided on the amp yet. .Looking forward to seeing how they sound.

The SAX-100.2 is a good match for them.

The SAE-1000D also works nicely but is a bit more power than you need, as long as you keep it turned back a bit it works nicely, though.

Nice speaker at a nice price. But honestly, the CSS SDX10 is a better deal. The old price was just too high imho, considering its competition. This sale price is more like what its normal price should be. Even then the SDX has it beat.

Sorry guys, love your company and your products, but there is a better deal out there than this.

These are also made in the USA - they simply cost way more to make than the SDX-10.

But, it seems, that being made in USA has no value anymore - hence the close-out.

The depth of over 6.5" on the SDX-10 also puts it in a different class of applications.

You make some valid points. Strictly speaking in terms of raw performance potential, the SDX has it beat pretty handily. But your sub does offer a smaller mounting depth if necessary.
I truly wish I could afford to use no product that was not made in the USA. But in today's economy and markets, that's simply not feasible.

Indeed, I'd be disappointed that with an extra 2" they failed to get more performance out of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif These drivers are primarily marketed towards truck enclosures and other shallow applications where 5" is often the maximum.

I agree on the second point - I suppose it's just past the point where people are willing to pay the USA price. I tried to do it with the SD-1 line, and it failed. The v.3 version will be moving overseas.
