Speakers with removable tweeters

What's the advantage of these speakers where you can use them as coaxials or components? I've seen a few like MB Quartz and Audiobahn, etc. You're probably not going to hear that much of a difference. I believe using a tweeter as a coaxial doesn't really interfere with the sound from the woofer much the way they're designed nowadays with all the research they do.

One advantage is not having to mount tweeters in a different spot. Some people dont like cutting holes in their dash and their car didnt come with a stock location for seprate tweets.

So that you can either use them in a co-axially mounted setup, or remove the tweeter and place it somewhere that might produce better results for a particular installation/setup.

components just means that you control the tweets and the mids through diff. xover points.... (did i say that right, dont know how to put it.) its still a comp. set whether you take the tweet out of the middle of the speaker or not.
