speakers sound like s***!

I have a Orion CO6004 -250w 4 channel amp. I plan on running this for my front door, and rear deck speakers. At the moment I have it hooked to just the back 6 x 9's. Everything is hooked up right, and I do get sound, just not the right sound! It seems like all that is coming from the speakers is the low end. I have messed with the filters, gain, and all that on the amp, but still the same. Any ideas why?

Maybe there is a low pass filter on the deck turned on.

Possibly over powering them? What speakers are they?

Check your rca cables, possibly those are bad. But like i said maybe its the low pass on the deck is turned on. If your deck has multiple rca outputs, try another set, like the front set. Maybe you even have it on the sub output or something.

Yeah maybe the wrong pre outs. I have 2 sets. also 2 sets for additional sceens(pioneer avh-p4000dvd).

The speakers are pioneer premier, 80watt rms. High pass on the deck is on at 100hrz.

are they distorting badly? yo could also be wired out of phase.

Duh...that makes sense. I will try a couple things. That being first. Also I was reading the manual for the head unit, and I guess you can switch between full, or sw for the setting for the rca's. Full for speakers, and sw for subs. I will have to see what it is set at.

Thanks for the help, hopefully one of these with fix the issue.

Nope....stil sound like shit. I rewired them...still sound real muffeled. I have a setting to change phase on the head unit. I tried that also no go. What else could it be?

Anything??? There also is a plug on the amp for a high pass filter, but I don't see how that has anything to do with it.

try not using any crossovers on both amp and hu. report back.

OK will do. If the wires where the connect to the speakers were loose(doubt it) would cause this problem?
