ok i have a memphis mca150 75x2 rms at 4ohms running a pair of digital designs 6.5 coaxials older model with the huge magnets . dd says rms on them is 80 watts. well heres the problem on my 880prs when the volume hits above 50 the speakers stop producing music then come back on , cuts in and out. the amp does not go into protect nor does it shut off. some songs and some days it will go up to 60 without this problem . the speakers really shine when it doesnt shut down and is around 55 on the deck. i have messed with all adjustments nothing changes. i have cut power to the sub amp, still does it so i know its getting enough juice. it never did this when i had the mclass coaxials in there wtf??

Check the ground connection to the amp. This EXACT same thing happened to me and i checked the ground and it was completely disconnected. I dont no how it was playing without a ground connection but it would cut out at higher volumes and come back on. check all ur connections with a dmm

It takes the neutral feed down the audio rca line, chasis ground, or other route, but cannot provide enough capacity for high power flow.
