I've had this problem for a while now and I just want it to go away. When I turn on my Alpine HU the 4 speakers in car make a pop sound. There is no engine noise whatsoever, and the only time they make a pop sound is when the HU is turned on...not when its turned off or changin stations/cd's etc. I'm thinking over time if I let this go the speakers will eventually get damaged from this.
I have an Alpine CDA-9807 hooked up to a Mach 460 system that Ive replaced the speakers on. The speakers are powered by amp as well...my sig has details. I have the bass boost completely off, crossover off, and gains 3/4 way up on amp channels.
Think I might have tracked down a similar problem in another thread where someone suggested to put a 1k resistor on the remote wire? Would that work?
