Speakers not putting out any sound.

I have a Pyle DVD/CD player (PLD52MU), a 2000 watt 4-channel Boss Amp, 4 Polk audio 6X9's, and 2 Polk audio 3.5's. I have my 3.5's hooked directly into the radio and the 4 6x9's into the amp. I have 2 sets of RCA cable ran for the front and rear.

One day while driving, my 4 6X9's stopped putting out sound. I checked all the fuses, rechecked all the wires, and checked the amp which was still powering on. I reset the radio back to factory settings to make sure I did not push a button that would stop power to the speakers and still nothing. The other day I decided to unhook all the wires connected to my amp and reconnect them again. I then checked all the fuses on my amp and radio. I made sure the remote wire was hooked up still and correct. Turned the radio on and still nothing. The amp was still powering on when the radio turned on. It wasn't showing any sign of trouble or even getting hot.

Later on that day I turned the radio on and I started to hair some like fussy crackling sound out of one of the 4 speakers. I then noticed that it would make that sound when I first start my car up. Then it would slowly start to fade away. I then notice when I would step on my gas hard it would get loud and then go away. Now on the way to work another speaker started to make the same crackling sound. So, I now have 2 of the 4 6X9's making some sort of crackling noise while the other 2 are not making any noise at all.

Any ideas on what is wrong with this?

Thanks,

David

something is slowly burning to the ground (dont get me wrong, it could be for the better)

seriously, im just guessing, but from the equipment used im assuming you wired it up, so either faulty wiring, or bad equipment, more than likely a bad sound output on that "pyle DVD/CD" player *it hurt to type that* (or you have a speaker lead touching something it shouldnt either a ground/speaker frame or another speaker lead((twisting is for doobies and people from the 50's, not wiring))

Check the rca connections to the head unit and the apms that power the 6x9's then try what coug said and trace back any little "unthunk" about wire that might be crossed or grounded out.
