speakers in box, losing loudness?

Maybe you should look into putting the Type X's into the kick panel and the Type R's in the doors strictly as a midbass. Putting a midrange/tweet in the center is going to cause some major sound issues. A "stereo" signal consists of a left and a right. Remember.....more isn't always better.

There's no kickpanel room on the driver side though, solely due to the clutch pedal being in the way, nor do i have enough experience with fiberglass to do such a thing unfortunately :/

Here is another one for you. Use one set of comps upfront 6x9's rear then use the other set of comps make a center channel. Just kidding about the center channel. Either get rid of 1 set of comps or the 6x9's. Agreed the box thing has to go it is only making matter worse. It is messing up your imaging and staging.

You can't just take a piece of MDF, cut it our a little larger than the factory hole, router around the edges, cut your hole for the 6 1/2" set, sand it down where all the edges are smooth, buy some filler primer, prime it a few times, and put a coat of wrinkle finish paint on it? It would be cheap to do and it would look decent. Not the best but decent.
