Speakers going crazy, like 3 cats in heat in a bag

So i recently bought a usx4065 off audioclinic in CA to have it come in and not play correctly. After much toying inside the truck me and a buddy decided it was the amp leaking ch.2 to ch.3. So guy sends me ANOTHER usx4065 and i ship the original back. Same issues with the 2nd one, but since my db drive a5 90.4 plays everything fine we figured this guys has an issue with his bench or something.

So i go and buy an eclipse premium 32440 from @RAM_Designs ONLY TO IT DO THE SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point im like ok, its gotta be my install..... So i pulled a speaker from the closet and tryed using it on ch.2 vs the door speaker. And it played all 4 channels perfect w/ no issues.....

So point in blank my front door speakers was causing amps to send out screeches from all the speakers AND channel leakage. All kinds of just really weird things

My questions are these, when first usx4065 had issues with that speaker i hit it will the dmm and it read fine. And the speaker still plays fine on the db a5 90.4 but goes ballistic on the usx4065s and on my current eclipse 32440. Why would it play fine on the db but not the us or eclipse???

I jammed this amp for 6hrs to houston and back last week and the door speaker played fine. This is AFTER the usx4065s wouldnt play it. So im guessing its my crossover for that door???? Since i didnt hear any distortion or issues with the woofer or tweeter during my trip or ever. So confused, and i feel like a total dick for putting audio clinic threw all that when it was MY door speaker that was the issue.

yeah I am lost as well I have no idea what your talking about.
crap..... ok

Basically every time i connect the power wires to ch.2 on my amp(front drivers door) i get ALOT of static from it and it messes up the others speakers too. I tryed using a different speaker on ch.2 and had no issues. Amp played all 4 channels fine

So with my new eclipse amp, whenever that speaker(ch.2) is plugged in it goes awall, but i used a db a5 on it earlyer today with 0 issues(and just returned from a long trip). Jammed it hard and it sounded good so i dont see why the eclipse wont play it, why do you think the db would play it but the eclipse wont? I tryed it with 2 usx4065s and they wouldnt play that speaker either(its a component set fyi, setup from my sig)

I guess im saying if the front drivers door set is blown why does the db drive amp play it fine? Could this be a crossover issue? Havnt pulled the crossover yet, but will soon

Is there anything i can do besides pull the woofer and test it by itself? I dont have a spare set of crossovers or active capable amp/HU

Trying to troubleshoot this, anyway i can test just the crossover or tweeter?

Tryed a different crossover, still got the noise.

Tryed a bran new power wire from amp to crossover, still got the noise.

Tryed power wire strait to tweeter(at really low volume of course) played fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My deduction, the power wire from crossover to speaker has been grinded by my manual window gear. Will be pulling door off soon to verify //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Still dont understand why my db drive plays the speaker fine though, odd much

Definitely a short in the wire to that particular speaker. Other amp is obviously a different circuit that is immune whereas Zed made amps don't like you to short your speaker outs to ground.

do you by chance still have a factory amplifier still connected to the speaker wires, even if it is not playing/being used? have you ohmed the wires from the amo to the cross-over, and cross-over to components? typically, amps only have verry low level connections between the ground and the audio section, for the purpose of shunting the minor amounts of electrical noise in the rca shielding. otherwards, they would not need it. different amps do this in different ways, and as such have the pre-amp sections are tied to the audio and power differently. then there is different protection functions, and feed-back characteristics. so, there is 3 possibilities. first, is a grounded wire, second a faulty component or cross-over, and 3rd, would be a damaged factory component still left in the circuit. now, there is also something that you need to clarify- you keep saying "channel 'x' power" we have been asuming that you mean the speaker ouput wires from that channel, not a 12v wire, but i'd like to be sure. a vehicle 12v system and audio outputs should never be connected, unless the amp or head clearly states that the connection can/should be made.

When i say ch.2 to i mean the positive and negative channel output for them on the amp. Im not sure what you mean by the 12v wire......Like the remote wire?

But it deff sounds like a grounded out noise, i really think the window gears snagged it. I wanna go check but its dark out and would be a pain lol

So i just got done with the truck. Turns out the mid-woofer is bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I ran a new power wire for the it then tryed connecting it directly to the amp. It played for a few seconds then started screeching and cone started flexing alot. I tryed using the crossover same deal, but if i pull the woofer my tweeter still plays fine.

So i left the woofer off and im just playing the tweeter on that side. Why would the db play this speaker??? Im pretty upset my hertz is gone, guess i need a new midbass set. Should i get new crossovers too???? Ide like to keep my DD tweets

What do you guys think about replacing the HV-165s with these? http://www.audioque.com/AQ-PA-65-Sold-As-Pair-_p_103.html Still dont know if i need new crossovers, are they all set around the same cut off Hzs(bandpass and tweeter wise) or do they vary from company to company? There Hertz crossovers BTW
