Speakers for DEH-80PRS and DC 175.4?

First question, will this unit Pioneer DEH-80PRS CD receiver at Crutchfield.com allow me to run active to my DC175.4 and DC 1.2K? From what I've read it will, but I'm still a noob and would like confirmation lol.

Second question, what 6.5's and tweeters would you recommend on a $300 budget? The car is a 2007 Eclipse, looking for strong vocals and midbass. For bass I have a couple Skar Audio VVX-8V3's that I picked up NIB off CL

yes and hertz energy esk 165.5 279$. buy them from an authorized dealer. There are alot of fake hertz on the internet.

Although you dont need it to run active. You can just LP your woofers at the same freq that you HP your tweeters.

For example. Hook up your woofers to channels 1+2. LP at 3khz. Hook up your tweeters to channel 3+4. HP to 3khz.

Set gains accordingly.

That being said, The 80prs has time alignment and a host of other awesome features.

the 80 prs will allow you to pick an exact frequency where you want to send to each channel and then you can set your amps on Through instead of HPF or LPF. So thats immensely helpful, otherwise you gotta know how to find frequencies with pink noise and an RTA

That not how you set crossovers. That will cause a big peak at 3k
