Speakers Cutting Out

ok so my setup is in my sig. But since building new box and making a few adjustments my front door 6.75" comps have been cutting out when i turn the headunit volume ~20-24 of 40. They are powered off of the headunit (set to +2 slant; hpf set to 125hz; and eq slightly tweaked upward in the mid/highs area)... but with the subs turned down i can turn the headunit past 20 volume and they stay clear... the comps are wired through crossovers. If i left anything out that would be needed info let me know... Suggestions?

Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking. i have a powerbass 300.2 sitting in my garage but i think i may want to end up getting a good 4 channel for my front stage and rear pillars. They surprisingly sound really good to me off of headunit power (just found out the headunit only puts out 14 watts rms per). Theyre an sq comp set but do get fairly loud and sound good doing so. Bought them NIB from a local stereo shop for ~$90 closeout price which was a great buy imo
