Speakers Cutting Out...unsolved For A Year Now!!

OK,

For those of you willing to help me, I have a problem that had been unsolved for a year now!!!

1. My speakers cut out when I turn up the radio to the "its getting **** loud" point. I recently re-wired the whole car because I was getting sick of the problem....Didnt work

2. I individually dis-connected every channel in the car to see if it stopped cutting out.....NOPE, still cut out on every attempt.

3. None of the speakers sound blown, I listened to every one individually and they sound fine.

4. I just had my amp sent in to Kicker to get fixed, got the amp back, installed it...PROBLEM STILL THERE!!

Could it be a bad crossover?? even though they all sound fine??

Any other things to check would be great...should I bench test each individual component??

maybe the amp is shot, try a diff amp?

how could it be grounding out if i just replaced all the wires? unless the new ones got cut, but i taped them allllll....??

Speakers powered by an external amp? Gain or some EQ channels may be set too high, kicking the amp into protection when you crank the volume.

could also be your HU preouts clipping at that voltage....

The gain is not even half way. To much?? OH ALSO, we wired up all the speakers so that the amp is seeing 4 ohms...to add to the list....

Frequ. is set at like 180-200 so they shouldnt be stressing to much.

3.5max speed, I dont know much about that, but it sounds like it could be a good call....1 of the few things I have not checked yet....BUT.............when i had a replacement amp in my car while the other one was out for repair....nothing clipped???BUT i only had the front hooked up cause it was a 2 channel amp...so the amp wasnt seeing the full load that the original amp did. Does that say its the amp right there though???

When the amp got back from repair, it said they replaced 16 resistors so...i would think the amp is fine

if they replaced 16 resistors dont u think the amp mite jus b shot??????? maybe they should have replaced 17 but they thought they got them all at 16

if the 2chan didnt cut out, try runnin a buddies 4ch in it and see wat happens

sounds like a shotty repair job on the amp.

Or maybe it's the HU pre-outs...I sent my HU in for repair cause it kept blowing my tweeters, one of the pre-outs was only sending .3V This was on a clarion HU.
