I am helping my friend wire up his stereo he just got a jvc deck and i put it in for him, it worked now we ran new wires just a better quality wire. Anyways They wored for a while but now when you turn up the volume to any substancial volume the speakers cut out completly and have to turn it off and leave it off for a while for them to work again. Now i checked the wires behind the speakers and the deck to check double for shorts and anything out of the normal as well as the pathways to and from the speakers for shorts and anything possible. What could it possibly be(not getting enouph power from the battery)? Arg i just dont know plz help.

Welcome to the forum my brother. Sounds to me like the h/u is over heating. What's the impedence of the speakers, how many speakers, and how are they wried to the head unit ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i have the same problem with my head unit thats why im buying another one i think it has to do with the watts of the deck. my setup is one l7 15'' one optima yelow and pg x1200.1 amp
I think you have a completely different problem, you might try turning the bass level down on your head unit, does it flicker when turned up loud? It doesn't sound like the original poster has any amps hooked up to his system.

I agree with this guy. It definately sounds like the Head Unit because the speakers as you said come back after a while of turning everything off. The Amp the H/U probably doesnt have enough Power for the speakers you have. CHECK GROUNDS ALSO. Always a good thing to check those guys!
