speakers cracking all of a sudden?

Welcome to our world! Just when we think we have everything just right and think we don't have to take that **** door panel off, again, something else happens. Unfortunately, unlike home, a car is subject to extremes in temperature as well as vibration, every day. Shit happens and that wire we thought was OK ends up causing a huge headache. Tis why we car audio folks seem to never be FINISHED on the project. And if everything IS working fine, then we want to upgrade! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Couldn't put it better myself.

yeah thats true lol

and does it matter how long my ground is? im thinking about extending the ground a few extra feet so i can ground it somewhere else good cuz i have 1 place where i can ground it in my dash.. well that i can get to :/

You should try to keep it as short as possible, even if this means locating a spot on the chassis, grinding it down to bare metal and drilling a small hole to screw the ground wire to.

well made new ground brought to bare metal and still happens but one thing i did notice is it only does it when im turning right, or hit the brakes.. but its not 100% of the time sometimes it happens and sometimes when it does but when it does it does it repetitively then randomly stops and i also noticed that when they go and you can only hear the subs playing, if i turn the volume all the way up they will begin to crackle back in after 3-5 seconds and they will play again and from there i can turn it down and its fine for a bit

This same thing happened to me. Except mine was only when I had the heater on. It was the headunits amp. Some cars just have no ventilation near the hu. If you turn it off for a bit then back on and it works fine then it is most likely the internal amp overheating. Mine did this until I got an external amp.

well i thought about it and i dont think it would be the internal amplifier getting hot cuz it only does it when i turn or hit breaks... and i noticed that when the speakers are crackling and breaking out and such that if i turn the volume all the way up, they begin to kick back in and play again

run a set of wires temporarily directly to the battery for power/ground. if the problem goes away it is a problem with the wiring, which is where i am putting my money. if it doesn't go away then i say the hu has the problem.

So just run wires from power and ground for now? Then what do I do if it goes away? Just leave it like that? LOL

But before I do that I think I found the problem I used a line output converter like 8 months ago to hook my amp up with my old system before I got a HU(2 12" mtf thunder 4500s on alpine mrp m-450) I spliced it in my rear speakers in my rear deck which the input RCA connectors were metal and I had it hanging down through my trunk so I think it may have been touching metal... I forgot it was still there LOL...I removed that so i hope it goes away
