speakers cracking all of a sudden?

for some reason my speakers are beginning to crackle/distort even on low volumes.. sometimes to the point where nothing is coming out and all you can hear is bass from subs.. my speakers are all ran off of the headunit, no external amp.. the speakers only crackle and sound like shit when im either turning my wheel, or hitting the breaks.. and begin to turn back on when i straighten out

could it be the wires? maybe they are ****ed and when the car moves like braking or turning the wires it something and make them crack?

idk i dont know that much about speakers and stuff

well their just temporary pioneers for now, their only a few weeks old i had this problem before but not as bad and it just went away.. it even did with stock speakers, i thought it was them so i had them changed but didnt stop

i just re-did all the wires, even soldered them nothing is loose..speakers are wired right, i can try finding a new ground i guess hopefully thats it and nothing with the HU

Might need to check the entire length of each speaker wire...it may be that you scuffed some insulation off at some point and it is contacting with bare metal...just a thought but it sounds like a wire shorting out somewhere.

well im getting a good set of components soon and amping them along with a pair of decent 6x9s for fills in the back and running them off the same amp probably so i wont be running speakers of HU anymore sometime soon so its no biggie, just annoying.. its only the speakers running from the HU not my subs so it isnt anything external.

Sounds to me like you have a ground loop. Recheck all of your wires. Possibly run new wires to speakers. Ensure there are no pinches or spots where metal to metal contact is.

sounds like a lotta work for such little problem -_-

Make sure there is no wire touching the frame of the drivers. That can cause a ground loop as well. It's pretty much the only way to find the cause.

Since you are getting new components you might as well run your own wires. Just get the amp ahead of the components and see if your problem disappears.

Welcome to our world! Just when we think we have everything just right and think we don't have to take that **** door panel off, again, something else happens. Unfortunately, unlike home, a car is subject to extremes in temperature as well as vibration, every day. Shit happens and that wire we thought was OK ends up causing a huge headache. Tis why we car audio folks seem to never be FINISHED on the project. And if everything IS working fine, then we want to upgrade! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
