Had a long drive yesterday while playing music at various volume levels. Towards the end of the drive the passenger side speakers started to sound bad, cracking and distorted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . I got home and let the car cool down for an hour or two. I started the car up and listened to some music and everything is back to normal. So, what happened? Did I just overheat the amp or speakers earlier? Is it possible that the speakers experienced permanent damage? This is the first time it happened to me so I'm not sure what to expect.
