speakers and amplifier??

Well i have a 600 watt pyramid amplifier, 4 channel... and i have 1 10 inch kenwood tornado...600 max, 200 rms....i have the sub bridged in the 3rd and 4th channel...and i was messin around and tried hooking one speaker up to the 1st channel...but all that comes out of that speaker is mostly static...ne help??/
