Hi, I am looking for expensive 6.5'' or 7'' component system that take advantage of clean power. The amp is rated 400x4 @ 4 Ohm

Right now I have morel elate 6.5'' components in front and JL xr525-sci for the rear fill. I recently bought this amp and feel like I need to upgrade my speakers because they overheat a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I touched one tweeter and burned my finger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It gets got loud enough with 25W inside of the car, but sometimes we go out with my friends and prostitutes into forest for wicking style barbecue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif So sometimes I listen to music outside.

I'd look into having a shop custom fabricate a set of horns into your dash...a pair of Image Dynamics full-body horns plus a pair of 8" midbasses should be loud enough for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But they'll likely need EQing, and will use nowhere near the amount of power you have available //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

400W to a set of horns would be audible for miles...

So, you are basally telling me that it is going to be pain in the *** to upgrade the speakers? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

From now on please know that the wilderness is the BEST place to hang out!!!!!! Because society is not watching you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm telling you that you're not likely going to find dome tweeters that satisfy what you're looking for. Morels have some of the highest power ratings of any domed tweet out there, if they aren't loud enough for you then I'd recommend going with horns.

Also, if you drive what it's your avatar and have a Mac amp like that, I seriously doubt you'll have a problem paying for a set of horns underneath your dash //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The horn suggestion is interesting. I am thinking about fabrication custom door panels and putting 9’’ PG ti elite midranges high-pass crossed @ 40Hz and then I can add a set of horns crossed @ 3 kHz to drive them off of the rear channels of my amp.

yes, I have them right now. I don't know much about hors, though. What model of horns suit my setup? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Hey, what is wrong with those PG drivers? I thought they were better than morels? The box says hand-made in Israel.

Got a ride like that in your avatar and a MAC then nothing is out of your price limit. ID horns FTW. Where did you get the PG's does it say made in Israel on the box. Not tracking any PG made there. Morels agree.

Another trailer park thought is mabey a pair of 6x9 boxes with a good pair of 6x9's with a quick disonnect mounted somewhere you could plug in and place outside. Like plug and go. I know sounds wierd but would work great.IMO
