Not sure I follow what your saying. Are you saying you used diff thicknesses/gauges of speaker wire?
What I'm asking is can I add speaker wire onto my existing wire inside the box to make it longer.

And also, does the outside of box need to be same gauge wire ?

The wire for the outside I was thinking of using to extend cause it's the same, then new get wire for outside to amp, but not sure I'f I'll find same thickness and does it matter, sorry it's been awhile

1) Yes, absolutely.

2) I would stick with the same gauge wiring if it were me. To prevent problems later on down the road, because you never know when something may happen next week or 8 months from now.

Tyvm guys.

At 2 ohm with 2500 your looking at 36 amps. Is use 10ga for the total load or two 12s one per coil..
I have the sa d4 subs the box for the truck is longer that's y I need to so this to the terminals and to reach the other sub .

I'm using the thick gauge I just forget what it is haha
