Speaker wire?

Im running a spool of 16g from monoprice, do I need to separate and twist? (reading that the twisted helps shield better), or does it not really matter?

While in theory twisted pair signal cables have better noise rejection (different than shielding) speaker wire isn't going to make any difference at all. High voltage into a low impedance makes the wires more noise resistant than you need right off the bat.
