Speaker wire touched power wire.

I was putting my speakers in today and one of the wires accidently touched the power wire on the amp and it sparked. Now when I try to plug in that speaker my amp goes into protect.

theres no way for me to buy a single mid speaker from the SLC265 kick's huh?

It May not help but I would try plugging in the speakers then the power... but thats just me

Take a DMM and check the coil to see if it blown or not.

Might not be the amps, you may havetorched the voicecoil on the speaker and it is directly shorted and that is why you amp is going into protect.

its still both at 4ohms

well im 100% sure its the speaker i just put in my old mb quart mids and it works fine.

only that one speaker makes it go into protect. it crackles then my amp shuts off. no way to fix it is there?

This is why u take out the fuse or disconecct the negative battery terminal until everything is connected.
