i had got some 40ft of 12g when souddomain had a it on sale with free shipping. if you got the 16g , go ahead and use that. no sense in buying something you already have. but if not , id personally shoot for 14 or 12g. and if you do buy some , grab as much as you can incase you might need some later.

Should give me more then enough to get me all the power to my subs effiecently and give it some air to breath (not get hot). And ill get 10 feet just to be safe.

That speaker wire calculator is really good. And apparently...the speaker wire does make a lot more differnece then people give it credit for. Because anything smaller than 10 gauge after 1500+ Watts you sacrifice power. Not much at all, but hey...power is power.

Well i wound up getting 7 feet instead of 10...is this gonna be enough? I plan on having the amp really close to the speaker box (probably actually mounted to it even) ...Ive never built my own box or wired my own subs...so Im not sure how much wire it uses inside the box..

not much. how far apart are the subs, like 1ft? so say 2-3ft inside the box (sub+sub+terminal) and how ever far the amp is away. 7ft should be enuf
