speaker size ?, 6x9 into 4x10

I bought some 6x9's today with my amp and sub and found out the holes are too small for the 6x9's and the metal is really thick so widening the holes is not an option really. I went on crutchfield and entered my car info in and it said it has 4x10's in it. I found Gm Saps 4x10 to 6x9 brackets but i was wondering if there was a way to fabricate a solution to fit these 6x9's.

If there isn't enough clearance front to back on that package shelf to hang a pair of ByNines in the tradition fashion (and heaps of cars from GM of your vintage did have really narrow back decks) then those adapters are pretty much going to be your only option unless you want to go with a set of 4x10s instead. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
