speaker recommendations

And your running what alternator? In what car?
standard alt that comes with the car no cap. nothin just alt and battery in a Bronco.....the battery is an Interstate...i was going to buy an Optima but my Uncle (a mechanic) says that an Interstate is just as good as an Optima...I have no diming of lights at all

Get the Infinity Reference comps and 6x9's, they sound great and fit in your price range also
I would agree with this is if you liked the sound of fingernails being scratched on a chalkboard. The Infinity comps sound so harsh and bright I feel like killing myself everytime I listen to music in my car.

All kidding aside I have Infinity 6.5" comps and I'm not impressed. I don't know about the other brands you mentioned but I would stay away from the infinity.

dont stay far away from Kappa Perfect's....There a Three way speaker....that means there is going to be more bass in them and clearer mids and highs
