referring to these speakers:

Power Handling

65/150

Final Impedance

4 Ohm

this is the data for a set of 2 component speakers.

Is the data for each speaker? or for the both the speakers together?

ie. if I run 1 channel to 1 speaker will it have an impedance of 4 ohms?

and do i need to send 65-150 watts to each speaker, or to both speakers combined?

i have a 4 channel amp:

2 OHM - 100w

4 OHM - 70w

Would my best wiring configuration be to run a single 4 ohm channel to each speaker for 70watts / speaker?

Since I am guessing that I can;t run 2 speakers off 1 channel sing that won;t give me stereo sound, i can;t wire a single speaker in parallel to achieve a 2 ohm load and 100 watt correct?

I am assuming these speakers are not duel coil.

Please help me clear this up

You will need to use channel one for one speaker and channel 2 for the second speaker. I would assume there front speakers. The load will be 4 ohms. You need an amp that will deliver between 65 and 150 watts at 4 ohms.

Use the gain setting tutorial to set the gain so your amp will be sendig the correct amount of power.

you could connect 2, 4 ohm speakers to get a 2 ohm load as long as there both the front and back speakers and you are willing to give up your fade option.

You have several options with your 4 channel amp.

1- channels 1 and 2 for front speakers and channels 3 and 4 for rear speakers.

or

2- channels 1 and 2 for front speakers and channels 3 and 4 bridged to subwoofers.

Good luck Biker
