Get the Phoenix Gold RSd65cs components. You can always find them new on eBay for under $90 shipped. If you're not comfortable buying on eBay, they're $129 at onlinecarstereo.com.

Do you plan on bridging that amp, and have just the 2 front channels? Or will you be running 4 channels? The reason I ask, is that amp is only rated for 35w x 4 at 4 ohms, which is way too small. However, when bridged, it will do 150w x 2 @ 4 ohms, which is plenty for a set of comps.

Yes, the PGs love that kind of power, according to people on here. People on here regularly give them 120-150 watts of power. I've never actually heard them, I'm going by all of the great reviews people have given them on here.

Whether you bridge a 4-channel amp, or use a 2-channel, I don't think makes much difference, as long as the output power is the same.

If you don't already have an amp, Profile makes good, budget amps. Here's a good one for those comps, for $86:

although a member on here did a review for some Hifonics speakers and it was pretty impressive

Try some of the other speakers mentioned here, or Pioneer Rev's, or C4 on ebay. The Hifonics are really bottom of the line... you can do better (Their amps are good for the money though).

Best amp deal I have seen is the Panasonic... those things will do up to 750 watts into 2 ohms RMS... for only a little more than 100 clams. When you figure the watts per dollar you are getting, they are hard to beat (but the Profile was also a good recommendation).

Another good speaker in that price range... Oz Audio Vector.

Almost forgot... Orion HCCA 6.2, I've seen them listed on ebay as low as $129.00 - that would be your best bang for the buck. Tweeter and xover is in the same league as the high end Polks. I would actually call them a high end car speaker.
