I have the 2012 Acura TL with the ELS system in it and want to change all the speakers in it. It has the following below.
Front Tweeter 1.0 inch
Front Door 6.5 inch 2
Rear Door 3.5 inch 2
Rear Deck 6.5 inch
So I went to a car shop and they told me to get JL Audio C5 3-way setup for the front and use the 4" in the rear doors. They told I could either get JL Audio C2 or C3 Coaxial in the rear deck. They said to get to power all this was the JL Audio XD 800/8v2. This is where I am confused they told me each speaker will have its own channel. Example is front left tweeter is 1 channel, front right tweeter is another channel, front left door speaker is another channel, front right speaker is another channel and so on. So that would be 8 channels total? I thought for component the tweeter is considered one channel. So would I need a 6 or 8 channel amp?
Also has anyone had any experience with the following below and help me decide on door speakers.
JL Audio C5 components with the C2 or C3 coaxials in rear deck
Alpine Type R components with Type R coaxials in rear deck and 4" Type S coaxials in rear door
Infinity Kappa 60.11cs with Infinity Kappa 62.11i coaxials and 4" Infinity Ref-3022cfx
