Spark from amp --- what to check

I picked up some 1/0 inputs for my amp a while back and today i added them to the amp to check the length since the amp will sit in a boxed amp rack . I have NO WIRING at all in the amp rack . I slide the input in and tightened the screw on the amp , while doing so the screw driver touch the side of the amp and it sparked . I was suprised since the amp hasnt been on for a month . Anyways i thought why did it do that and that may not be good so i decided to test the amp and sure enough power line lights up / no protection light comes on but have no output . what can i check next ?

This tested well on youtube - not familiar with the brand but it is a pretty standard china build house amplifier...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
