Sp4 18?

It's one of those things if you have to ask your prly not ready to run that powerful of equipment. Lol not trying to be a dlck but any woofer will be fine on a DC 5k, it's all about how to set it up.just because you have 5k doesn't mean you have to use 5k, but The sp4 is a 4" coil beast that will gobble up power.

Yeah I know what I'm doing and have plenty of guidance locally just asking

Not yet I don't have a vehicle for a wall yet. I've got to pay my car off but I've got a js 240amp alt and 4 group 31s running the 1 dc 5k at .5 on a couple hdc312a in my trunk

excatly.. getting a clean 10kw isnt cheap or easy
As I said it will be taken care of when I get a vehicle to put the build in not trying to put all that weight in my little sedan but I will have the electrical up to par that's not what I'm asking about now is it?

you going to get 3 300 amp alternators?

I wouldn't consider very many drivers that are high output for SQ. like I said the nightshade is a pretty ****** woofer. it will handle 3500-4kw clean. a pair of those would be plenty loud and sound good..

Did I not say that I was? Not trying to sound like an *** but everyone is asking the same **** when I'm asking about something else I know what I takes to actually get the clean power. So why the nightshades? For the price of one of those I could get both of my sp4s I'm not really looking to compete with this build just a demo vehicle.

I like FI but i dont like the sp4 you going to get FI just get the team but I'll tell you right now that the Nightshade is going to sound better.

I'm looking to do 2 18s in a 4th order. I'm not sure 2 nightshades would be in my budget I don't have to do the 2 5ks I just have one already so I could order another or sell it and get something else. Im not 100% set on what I want to do so I'm kind of looking for the most insight on different ideas but people are being **** heads

why not do 6th order? they are louder.. lol.. 4th order sounds alittle better unless you get it perfect..if you want a ******* woofer for a good price that sounds pretty good you next option IMO would be this monster..

Ive only heard one sixth order that was still having links worked out and don't know much about them. Ive heard they are pretty easy to mess up. Are they able to have a wide frequency range as well?

the driver has alot of do with the way it responds. generally they are similar to a vent box as in the need subs with more mechanical control over their mass to sound correct. typically you tune one chaber low and the other a octave above and half the size just as a starting basis.. im pretty god with box design. as long as the manufactures specs are accurate i can get you a good design.

typically you start with about 80% of your typical ported box for the low tuned chamber. sometimes you can go much larger though if the driver has a very stiff suspension. The front chanmber is generally somewhere around 1/2 the size about around 2x the tuning frequency.. they can have substantual output gains over both ported and 4th order alignments when you build it to do so.. or you can build it to be about as loud as a ported box but flatter.. heres one graph that shows its nearly aas loud as a peaky vent box alignment but you can see it has a wider bandwidth..

you have winisd? ill help you try to understand it if ya want..

i will warn you though. its tricky to implement into the cabin because you never know how the cabin will respond to it, you just have to kinda tweek it.. you might have to drop your tune 3 hz and raise one 2 hz but they usually work fairly well.. dont be intimidate though. that's how you learn. hell thats how i learn. started off with a idea and worked at it till i succeeded..

btw i just got windown 10 once i get a screenshot uploaded ill show you the graph..
