Source for highest-end equipment?

This is the brands of subs seen in the lanes at the MECA event last weekend that were wins in their classes. Note that, these are off the top of my head and just referencing speakers/amps.

I'm sure I missed some, but this was the majority.
Thank you sir ... That's excellent! (Yours too bball)

Just tell us a goal and budget and we can work something out for you..
OK, here's my goal, don't laugh as I'm doing it now fine, just think it could be even better:

'05 Nissan Titan King Cab (the small rear doors). With as little disruption to the interior as possible, I want:

- New rear door speakers (OEM holes can fit 6-3/4" speakers max)

- A sub in an enclose that I can simply unplug and remove so people can sit in the back when needed. (Possibly two subs like this).

- An amp that will fit under the driver's seat. Haven't measured the max dimensions yet as the amp I have there now easily fits. It's at least 18" x 18" though.

The goal is for good SQ and SP (isn't it always?!) for mostly rock music. I'd like the volume to go a little higher then what you can stand to listen to, so there's some headroom when I want to really crank it.

Right now the SQ is very good (to me), and my Kicker KM10 thumps pretty good, but the overall volume could be louder. I can stand the volume all the way to where distortion starts, wish it could go a little louder.

(I do realize front speakers would help a lot, but I don't want to mess with or disable the OEM stereo HU or front speakers)

Is this possible? Recommendations?

LOL. you don't want to upgrade your front speakers and you want us to recommend you SQ equipment. you need to spend a few months reading up on everything and then come back with some real questions.

Again ... I am aware that front speakers would be a major improvement.

Every system design will have compromises - A major one in mine will be no front speakers. (for now anyway)

You want to treat this as impossible, and I already know it's not. I have a 10" sub under the rear seat and 6-3/4" Alpine SPS-600 coax's only in the rear doors only, and it sounds very good to me right now. It is very clear, and very punchy. I like it a lot. I just want it to be louder.

Louder can be achieved at least these two ways that I (a noobie) know of: 1) Your demand that I place speakers more in front of me facing more directly into my ears, or 2) More volume from behind my ears (behind and to the side anyway).

One thing I'm pretty sure of: People don't usually place subs up front, so asking for more sub/ bass volume at least shouldn't require front speakers.

I'm asking for recommendations from anybody that can accept my desire to have speakers in the rear only.

no. its rediculous. Its a terrible desire. There is absolutely no reason to run rear speakers. There is absolutely no reason why you cannot change the front speakers. There is absolutely no reason to go bankrupt this way. You need to decide to come to terms wiht your fears and desires. You are currently building a terrible sound system that will be nothing but loud.

Go to http://www.partsexpress.com and look at some viable peerless options. Get a deck that will process your listening needs.

What is the point of looking for top of the line gear and throwing it in a the worst configuration imaginable. What is your goal becasue it isn't SQ...

I'll sell you some Sinfoni's if you want but even my Sinfoni's and morel's will not sound ggo like this...end there are a couple more brands for you since that is apprently your desire.

If you are going to hide your amp...why bother with the brand? Perhaps decide on size and budget.

Next, for the rear speakers..a solution...place your hands on your knees and push. Once you hear a large pop, your head has been removed from your anus and you can get busy.

Anybody looking for SQ would love to have their subs up front. I don't think you are considering the way a soundwave interacts with your environment....and, no offense, but you may want to look into hearing a refernce system for...you know..future reference. IOW...I don't think you know what "good" is supposed to sound like. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more valuable than it sounding good..to you..but YOU need to learn some right now.

Switch the front speakers. You've not looked into that well enough. There is no reason to not put fronts in other than laziness. Get rid of the rears entirely if you want "loud". Just because you have more drivers doesn't mean you have more output. With more drivers and more power you could very well cut your volume in half and until you condier these physics, you'll remain only partially satisfied. Also, you'll need to at least double the power to your mids and fronts to get thew noticeable difference you want...or just deaden with hushmat or the like.

Exactly ... but it's very unreasonable to do that, so they don't do it, aka a limitation. Very much like the limitation I've decided on.

Man, think outside the box a little here ... I've already acknowledged this is not the perfect plan or setup, but that it sounds very good to me right now (who else matters??), I just want louder ... and all you want to do is hammer on me to add front speakers. I get it ... I understand that particular recommendation ... but I'm not doing it.

Look ... I've sat down several friends in my truck, all music lovers but not audiophiles, and they agree that it friggin' rocks as-is. It is near the edge of being able to go too loud now, I just want a little more.

You know, nevermind ... I'm done with this. This is going round and round to nowhere. Obviously I need more speakers, or bigger speakers, and more power. I'll figure it out on my own.
