Soundstream tarantula TRX1500d and 2000d

Well I was wanting to put out a solid 1500 watts to my SX. I have a hifonics bxi1608d and Im worried about clipping and it possibly being overrated even though I heard the 08 line is supposed to do rated power.

Regardless Im considering selling it to pick up a new amp. I was considering the tarantula line. Anyone run these? Experience.

Do these have 0 gauge inputs? Overrated underrated? Clean power? Lets hear it

The Tarantula dose rated power. The Picasso is slightly over rated, but I would run one over a Hifonics any day. I do believe they both have 0awg inputs. If you have a few weeks, I would wait for the New Tower line to be released. That line, The Stealth line, Reference (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif) and Human Reign Unleashed lines are all due out sometime this quarter.

The new lines will be more than that in the power category you are looking for. From bottom to top of the line the new Soundstream products Basically it goes, Picasso, Rubicon, Tarantula, Stealth and D-Tower, the Reference and Human Reign Unleashed.

i run 2 1500d and i realy like them i had them since the summer and never shutdown on me and i ran them for hours a day but they dont have 0ga imputs ..

I have the TR2000, and I love it. Its never given me any problems. It does have 0 ga. inputs, and iirc was doing ~62vac (2,300wrms) clean power @ 2 ohm

good to hear. I really think these are sexy looking amps. Im opting for the 2000d in case I ever decided I need more power and the fact I want 1/0 inputs.

He is talking about the Tarantula 2000 Not The TR-2000 The TR 2000 came out in 2002, the one he has is from 1998 and is much better than any Tarantula amp that has been made since.

shoulda got the step up hifonics then what you needed. that's what i did i only needed 1500 got the 2000 watt one in case of over rated and that garbage.

I know! Oh well Im looking at getting the Aq2200 now. I just talked to a guy with 2 TRX2000d's and he said they only have 4 gauge inputs.

i think they are 2 ga . for the price i got them they are great .
