soundstream RUB1.800D buzzing

Hi guys Im just wondering if anyone has any information that might help identify why my amp buzzes. Its not the speakers its the amp itself. As if there is a fan on the inside and there could very well be. If so then I suppose there is no need for alarm but if not then why the buzzing? It works perfectly fine, and always has. It has always buzzed too and was bought as a refurbished amp with a 3 year warranty. So anyone have any suggestions as to what it may be?

power supply coils, is the amp mounted to the box?

My rubi2500 has a fan, i don't know if they put one on the 800.

No its not mounted to the box but it will be soon. I just ordered a 12" Gcon should be here in a few days. I have a warranty on it but It works so Im not sure I should warranty it.

Yeah I agree with DDtC. I had a Rubicon 1.2500d and it started buzzing and finally went out. It was under warranty so I sent it back to Soundstream and they sent me a new which I traded for a good ole American Bass HD2500. Half the power, but worth the trade.

Ah, sounds like what the problem I had with my DB drive. Except I was the reason why it made the noise. It was because I idiotically shorted out the amp. I decided to try to unscrew the ground cable...forgetting that 1/0 gauge had 1,000 of copper wires in it...and a couple split out from the ground hole and hit the positive cable. (Had like 5 cm of the positive wire showing) Shorted it out and it started making a buzzing noise. Got a new one..
