soundstream repair dept sucks!

sent my amp in, they said they recieved it. they switched out my blown one for a brand new one- that was cool. but anyways, taking my amp out of the box and grabbin a new one off the line may not get done in one day, but 4 days should be enough for that. but again, i realize they are busy. so, it takes them a week to switch out my amp. i call, the forget to ship it out. thats week 2. no big. say they will ship it out next day. call the next week wondering where it is..forgot to ship. alittle aggervated, but ok. "will send out next day". next week goes by, still not here. forgot to ship for the 3rd time...etc, etc.

anyways, they "forgot to ship" the amp for 5 WEEKS

just got it back last night. and it blew right after i installed it. (triple checked all wiring before putting power to it, set the gains mid way as a starting point, wanged for the first few minutes, was driving down the road at mid volume with the bass knob 3/4 the way up, POP, cab fills up with smoke)

anyways..5 weeks is rediculous. just ranting.

I had a Reference 405 that I sent back to them years ago when they first came out. They took forever to fix it. I complained like a mother. They then actually sent me a 405s in return. Cool I thought, they're giving me a better amp than what I sent in. I powered it up and it blew right away. I never even left the stereo shop. Had to send that one back in again, compained again, but it does no good. Got another "new" amp right away, never powered it up, sold it as soon as I got it, and NEVER have, NEVER will, buy Soundstream again.

And those were most likely the problems right there.
