The pre-order for SounDrive subwoofers has begun! These subwoofers are designed and built in the USA with American coils. These subs are designed to be a very efficient daily sub that excels at SPL as well. They feature a 3" 4 layer flatwound coil, 2000W conservative RMS rating, triple progressive spiders, and a large 55 pound motor structure.

What did you have in there before to compare the sound drive woofer to? How she sound?
2 alpine type x 10s I can't give an honest opinion due to the sub not being sealed to the baffle completely at the bottom. I'm remounting it tomorrow. But at the moment it is louder tha the 10s. But I'll wait until I fix that and give a better review. But I really like it so far. But the motor coil and surround are hella beefy.
I assume the shirt and sticker were shipped separately ? @SounDrive
Yep it'll be going out tomorrow. The shirt company finally got this batch of shirts to me

Are the shirts on the website? I'll check it out.

Yea I have black ones and more one sided white ones I need to add. You can just pm me for them for now

EDIT: Scratch that, just updated quantities on the site for both colors. I've got 2 double sided ones left too.

So did metering and testing today. Ended up with a 140.2 at 49 hertz 2.5 cubic feet tuned to 35 on a fsd 2.6k at one ohm

that's not bad. it could be higher but it is highly dependent on the car as well. guys doing those numbers test several boxes and tweak the car/box to meter good.

I was testing for an hour and half and what I ended up with. I was hoping for at least 143. But sub still needs time to break it in. Only had it in for 2 days

by testing do you mean different boxes port locations tuning? if you can run it free air for a couple hours

Never change boxes or box tuning. Just box location frequencies seat placement visors up or down and etc. So just the arrangement of the stuff inside the car itself. But I'm sure my actually dash is hurting my score also. And I peaked retarded high for a trunk build

My 2 15s are now seeing around 10k clamped and somehow haven't blown yet, although I try not to full tilt them for long at all... we will see if I can push them over the edge tomorrow before I recone (changing up my build this weekend)

high efficiency means lower losses equals less heat for a given input. i've been saying this for years..back to sleep..

I get it. I'd never run a tone through at full tilt to test just how much they can take before it goes all willie nelson either 🤣
