you know what, i don't believe SQ or DD would recommend the enclosure if it didn't sound good to their ears so i will take a chance and 2.9 cubic feet is NOT small for a single 12" enclosure and i can see it working well for both the SQ and DD subs, 36Hz is just about perfect IIRC so it's game on for me but i still got nothing but love for YOU, the naysayers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

OP, I will sell you my CUSTOM 2.66 cube before sub displacement enclosure tuned to 31hz for $150 shipped. Flush mounted, octoported. 45's, birch. the works

You will not be pleased with that prefab

Its 2.1 cubes net BEFORE woofer displacement.. Which is small for a SQ woofer.
Plus $144 would go far with building your own box.
Seems big for a SQ 12 to me.

But I always go smaller enclosure, tons of power and it usually works out. 2 12s, 3.2cuft after displacement was my magic 155 box

I know exactly what SQ stands for in this thread since the title is Soundqubed... The 2 12s in my sig are AQ, as in Audioque, the former name of Soundqubed.

and not sure if ive ever seen an sq system with tons of power doing 155s. Seems to be the opposite of SQ. (this time SQ means sound quality //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

a HDS212 on 500 rms will want a bigger box so yes 2.1 cubes net before displacement would be small

Those look like decent cheaper options for sure and probably fine for some systems, but I agree, Audiocontrol has been making high quality stuff...
