SounDigital SD1800.1D clamp testing, SPL testing, review.

But murilo, don't take my statements as bashing your company, I'm just trying to get an understanding.
You guys obviously make some solid products to be getting the results you do, I just thought that if they are this good with such a small footprint and one set of power inputs, what could they REALLY be capable of? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

an extra set of inputs would probably BREAK THE BANK according to whats been said by some people on here. They stated how it would DRIVE UP THE COST //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

OK, Ill go for a walk.

But...

You could choose any other company and also ask to their designer (I hope you speak chinese or corean) this:

Why their similar size amplifier wont make 13kW?

Yup, that's exactly what it would do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BRZEELLLLLLLLL........

go STETSOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh sh$t.... there I go again..

I seem to remember some crazy propaganda back in the day concerning a particular brand from Brazeeel... I see its once again reared its head so to speak.

Mind you the SD stuff is potent thus far.

Tommy, during the development of the SD8000 we made a lot of testing, at the end the amp got that single connector.

Also during the SD12kD development we decided for double power connectors.

u are a problem, all you are doing is going around sayin you can do it, murilo says you can do it, in our cases we cannot do it.
i mean how much extra would it cost to put at least say a single 3/0 input eh?
Apparently SD does not think that it needs 3/0 input or they would have done it. And no the problem is skeptics like you, if you do not think this will work in your install, than stfu and stop posting. Cause there are alot of people who this amp will work for.

**** that thing is tiny
Woman tell me that all the time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

In all seriousness looks like a nice little amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes, it is. Otherwise I wouldn't be busting your balls if I knew it wasn't true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I remember those days, and I remember also to read a lot of lies.

But now, I have a solid fact.

We have the only 14in amp long in world capable of 13kW RMS.

When I say that I'm not bashing any other company.

This is not crazy propaganda, is a simple and solid fact.

I have some SD8000 owners in USA that they could come here and say to you 2 that they dont have any problems with the amp, and they are pretty happy to have a 14in amp that makes more power than some amps with twice the size.
BTW, I personally prefer some kW more than a fancy connector.
yes i know you do, a competitor on my MECA team has two of these and is happy with them

2400*.707???? about 1700 or so... your basically measuring an average of outrush current.. pretty much oppsite of measuring in rush current on motors..

what you really doing here is get a medium of peak and rms avered by the neter.. your test stll concludes it does rated power and then some...

thanks for your time test...

I think the point we are trying to make is that if competitors have greater output out of the amps with special connectors (which to me says that one piece of 1/0 is limiting output power), then why not just make the amps with bigger/more power terminals?
If people get more power out of amps by running special connectors, that to me sounds like something should be done about the amps inputs. That is, if you want to get the most out of the amp, which I'm sure most people do.

Why make people use custom made connectors just to get the level of performance the amp is surely capable of?
I agree with tommy, for the price of the high powered amps such as 5k+ the company or manufactures should be able to spend the extra cash to put dual power and ground inputs on their amps, even at competitor prices. The consumer shouldnt have to use special connectors etc... Is it needed? maybe not but Id rather have reassurance and not rely on a single power and ground wire. Why skimp out to save a few bucks for profit? Especially when some companies bump up 200-500% of cost. Just my opinion.
