SounDigital SD1800.1D clamp testing, SPL testing, review.

I dont like this comment....i mean it works.....theres nothing more needed to be said.
If you cant get it too work in ur app than....hmmm.....that seems like a personal problem if countless others have no issue

Who cares about MECA....the 3 people that compete in it haha.....just poking fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
eh... okay... MECA will have better turn outs than DB drag i think, you should see the forums of how many DB drag competitors signed up this year

I have some SD8000 owners in USA that they could come here and say to you 2 that they dont have any problems with the amp, and they are pretty happy to have a 14in amp that makes more power than some amps with twice the size.

BTW, I personally prefer some kW more than a fancy connector.

It's funny you mention Alan - now I ask you, why did Alan have to make special connectors just to run to the amps he was using? You would figure with the sheer output power of the amps they would have bigger connections for power wires...

If you are concerned about power wires and input connectors, solve it by running bigger gauge wire and a reducer or multiple runs with a special connector. Problem solved. Otherwise, don't buy the amp. Its that simple. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I think the point we are trying to make is that if competitors have greater output out of the amps with special connectors (which to me says that one piece of 1/0 is limiting output power), then why not just make the amps with bigger/more power terminals?

If people get more power out of amps by running special connectors, that to me sounds like something should be done about the amps inputs. That is, if you want to get the most out of the amp, which I'm sure most people do.

Why make people use custom made connectors just to get the level of performance the amp is surely capable of?

That's fine Tommy. Folks who would even consider purchasing this kind of stuff would already know this. I guess pretty well every amp out there suffers from this kind of problem then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you still havent answered
why just a single 1/0 input? i dont care if they work just fine. is there design benefits or something behind single 1/0? im just curious
Wow. Use some logic friend. Because it has such a small footprint a second connector is not needed? Because in their testing they found a single connector is not required? Because the additional expense of adding a second connector would make the pricing higher for no reason?

I don't think... no I *know* that SounDigital does not need to answer to you. Now, run along. I think you have raised enough crap in here.

Well, assuming these amps are very popular in brazil, do all those people have special connectors as well?

I doubt it.

However, I'm sure most people wouldn't notice the difference in power anyways.

It doesn't really to matter to me, it's just an observation. I assumed that manufacturers used multiple power inputs for a reason, but I guess that doesn't apply to SounDigital. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My friend, Mr. Jeff Brown said that Stetsom amps did that, nobody said SD would be the same.

Think of what I'm saying as a blanket statement.

Yes Jeff was referring to stetsom amps, however does anybody have proof that one piece of 1/0 will allow the same output power as a custom made connector in one of the SD amps?

They are very sweet little amps.
I think they are the next real wave to hit high output car audio now that Stetsom has all but packed up and headed home.

hey Pegger... this is the 3rd time I'm asking you for some clarification on this.

care to elaborate???

thank you in advance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But murilo, don't take my statements as bashing your company, I'm just trying to get an understanding.

You guys obviously make some solid products to be getting the results you do, I just thought that if they are this good with such a small footprint and one set of power inputs, what could they REALLY be capable of? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

They apparently have never heard of R&D before.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
