I've had the pleasure of running the SounDigital 1800.1D in my truck for a few months. I was extremely skeptical at first when I read and even took it out of the box.
After some time with the amp, I can safely say...It's a rock solid amplifier that provides power in a small package. You don't need a lot of input signal, it puts out clean power, does not get hot. The amplifier is small but has some weight to it. It's a no frill amplifier, easy to adjust, smaller connections, also includes and onboard clipping light.
Onto the testing. Testing was done via an RMS clamp meter and DMM. Gains were set with an oscilloscope, I barely moved it above zero at all.
AC Voltage:53.1V
AC Amperage: 44.7A
Calculated Watts: 2373.57watts
Test equipment:
~Alpine 9835 Source Unit
~0dB Sine wave @ various frequencies
~RE Audio XXX 15"
~4.5 cubic foot enclosure @33hz
~Two Optima Yellow Top D31T
~Truck off, charger 40amp
TermLab Numbers:
Peak SPL of 147.1 @ ~35hz
Pictures in next post. Thanks to Murilo @ SounDigital!
