Hey guys I finally got all my stuff installed today , been so busy. anyway it seems like i have alot of bass when my volume is at a medium level around 45-50 on eclipse HU. hen i go upto about 60-65 the mids and highs are really noticable and not as much bass. Any ideas?

PICS a few replies down

I thought this was typical because on my alpine HU it does the same thing around 25ish...

I have everything flat-lined(with respect to the bass and treble)

Amp is hooked up with symbilink cables as is the components amp. all settings are flatlined 0 for everything. When i did that the same problem persists, but around 25-40 the bass overpowers the components above that it seems components over power the sub, Now this shouldnt be a gain setting issue becuase if it was overpowering would be at any volume level. On the side note, these iridums are so **** clear even too clear that i had to lower the mid and tregble to et the music to sound more "normal" (what my ears consider normal) hehe.

This is off topic a bit but your system is fvckin sweet, love those amps.

So anyone have any ideas for me? I guess i could just lower the gains on the sub amp to listen at a lower volume but then i wont have much bump up when the volume is high

I always just set everything so that the optimal sound occured at the volume level my ears liked the best. Not super loud, just daily driving level. Just turn the gains down on the amp for your sub, that way it will all increase at a similar rate.

Yeah ill have to play with some settings, i like how it sounds right now but only really loud, i guess your idea works tune it for a daily driving level, can always be adjusted later to show the systems performance just wish it would all work nice with the frickin volume nob :p what a concept right. Anyway i am at work right now, ill have a few pics of the install up tonight. In the mean time if any has any other suggestions please let me know. Maybe its that the DLS iridum's only kick in nice when they get some power to them becuase the gains are up on the C2K 3.0 but the comp. set doesnt start getting loud till the system is screamin, other then that i can hear the highs at a 45 or so a comfortable level when a passenger is in the car talking, but then the bass drowns everything out

Ok guys heres some pics of the install
