there are a lot of subs that can sound amazing, but really what makes a sub shine is a box, do not skimp on the box, have it sustom made to your sub by a rep box builder if you dont feel comfortable on your own. you can have an amazing sub in a shitty pre fab box and sound like shit compared to some l5's in a box made precisely for them.

Your definition of "sound good" and "loud" is probably different from pretty much everyone else. Give some more information in terms of goals, budget, space etc.
