Okay, im getting a 12 inch alpine type-x. I dont have a lot of space to work with, and i saw a box that fits the dimensions of my trunk pretty well, and was wondering if it would be a good box for the x. Its got 2.4 cubes of space, and its slot vent style tuned to 30Hz... or 32, i cant remember. I was thinking about mounting the sub inverted to utilize every cubic inch of the box.

That box will work just fine for your sub. Unless you're getting some type or orgasmic feeling about inverting the sub, theres really no reason to do it. 2.4 cubes is about right if you mount the sub regularly...

subs don't displace THAT much.... My IDW's only displace .15cu ft and they are 15's... hardly worth inverting for a that space...

meh... okay... you think 450w RMS would be able to get some sound out of this sub in this box? Its going in a hatchback so it doesnt have to be hurricane force
