Sound Fading in and out

Hey guys.

I have a Pioneer Premier DEH-460MP and MA Audio 6.5 Component Set.

So far I only installed the midrange, HU, and the crossovers (no tweeters yet).

I got a problem with the sound fading in and out as if somebody was turning the volume knob up and down.

Also the speaker on the driver side door does not make as much sound as the passenger midrange. Like it barely makes any sound at all. It is very distorted and the only time I can actually hear something come out of it is when i balance the system to the left. It sounds like its has a very weak signal.

Anyone have a clue as to why it is doing this?

well from my experience components do not like hu power, plus ive never heard a component set hooked up with midrange only. id say get the whole thing installed and setup and get an amp then go from there

yes, but your amplifier will see a 2 ohm load if you power a pair on each channel of a 2 channel amplifier... im refering to my configuration...i did away with soiund in the rear and have a pair of components in doors and a pair in kick panel pods!

can you run a 4ohm component at 2 ohms? will it mess up the speaker or the xoveR?

i got some cdt cl-62's and some EF-51cv (with the tweet\crossover of course) and i only have a 2ch amp thats 50 per channel at 4 ohms... i dont know if it can run at 2 ohms, but it wont mess up your components?
