You hit the low notes better because deadening reduces cabin peak frequency. Reduced flex gives an spl boost as well. No rattles helps cleaner sound as well.Just curious how big of an impact does sound deadning have in spl? Will it be noticeably louder or does is just make the sound cleaner?

I was thinking the sound mat (or what ever Sound Qubed calls their deadner) throughout the truck and I was gonna fiberglass the headlinerYou hit the low notes better because deadening reduces cabin peak frequency. Reduced flex gives an spl boost as well. No rattles helps cleaner sound as well.
If you are currently flexing like a maniac, you'll want to brace instead of just CLD tiles and that should get you a great bit louder.
I did two layers of deadener on the roof and it still wobbled and started ripping. I put plywood on the roof and now its solid AF. Gained a good bit of spl and low end impact from doing so.
Waiting for tax returns still so I can order new door panels and get the deadner. Is doing the roof and floor worth it?SQ's is nice for the price.. Use dead now or get ready to rip everything out after a few days after install so you can do it right and use dead as much as possible.. The rattling will be louder then your system. That's no BS.
Yes every flat panel u can reach is worth covering or putting some on.... Top, bottom, sides everywhere... NO BS makes a massive difference...Waiting for tax returns still so I can order new door panels and get the deadner. Is doing the roof and floor worth it?
