Whats the best/easiest stuff to use...My car(99 mountaineer) rattles a shitload and i want to get rid of this like it rattles everywhere even enough to think about taking the sub out(15 inch kicker L7) whats the best stuff to use and how hard is it going to be to put in and will it stop all the rattling?

Difficulty? Its basically peel and stick. Better results when using a heatgun or hairdryer to warm the deadener when applying. Liquid can be painted or sprayed on with the right tools.

I thought I saw Second Skin Rep(he owns SS) viewing this thread. I figured he woulda responded.

For your trunk 20-40sq ft of Damplifier or damplifier pro should do it(or raamat). Cover as much of your trunk as you can, top bottom under your spare etc.

For interior panels that are rattling agains eachother You should use Rattle pad or Overkill while its on sale. If you wanna go the cheaper route for that, just find any rubber type material and wedge it inbetween the panels(works well on license plates).

a heatgun u can get at lowes for 25 bucks, saves you aout 1 month of deadening!

per 6x9 piece it takes about 5 sec to heat it, with a hairdryer add another 50 sec

For rattles, GO with an isolator like open or closed cell foam.

For vibrations use a damper like damplifier or rammat or liquid.

The average trunk can take 40 sq feet and a gallon of liquid
